FROM CORPORATE TO COACHING
What is coaching?
I used to wonder what coaching even meant. Coming from a corporate background, it just never really clicked as something “real” to me — it felt vague, maybe even a little fluffy. I didn’t fully understand what it entailed or what kind of impact it could have. But I’m so glad I followed the nudge, stepped outside my comfort zone, and signed up for a coaching certification program. It ended up being one of the most transformative decisions I’ve made.
I’d heard the word “coaching” before, of course — in conversations, on podcasts, floating around the wellness space — but it didn’t resonate until I had my first official session with my current business coach. After just one conversation, something shifted. I walked away feeling clear, energized, and inspired to take aligned action. That’s when I realized how powerful coaching can be.
Six months later, I’m now a Certified Leadership & Performance Coach. And every day, I feel deeply grateful to guide others through the same kind of growth and clarity that changed things for me. Coaching invites you to work from the present moment — to get honest about where you are, set aligned goals, and move forward intentionally.
In my sessions, I create a space where my clients feel safe, supported, and seen. I ask questions that help them tap into their own wisdom — because most of the time, the answers they’re looking for are already inside of them. Watching someone connect with that, build self-awareness, and take empowered action in their career (and life) is something I’ll never get tired of. It’s so beautiful to witness.
And while coaching is about goals and growth, it’s also about something deeper: self-trust. Every time a client realizes they can do the thing they’ve been holding back from, or they feel more connected to their voice, I’m reminded of how impactful this work really is.
To me, coaching isn’t about fixing people. It’s about reminding them of who they already are. And honestly — what’s more powerful than that?
