DRESSING FOR CONFIDENCE

It’s not about chasing trends or dressing for anyone else’s approval. Whether it’s your favorite oversized blazer or the coziest knit sweater, what matters is that it feels like you. That it feels intentional.

Which brings me to something I feel really strongly about — the importance of getting dressed for you, even when you’re working from home or hopping on a Zoom call.

A while ago, I worked with an HR Director who, to be totally honest, didn’t present herself in a way that reflected the level of leadership she held. Messy hair, outfits that didn’t look thought-out — and more than that, an energy that said, “I don’t really care.” It made an impression, and not in a great way.

That experience taught me something important: how we show up matters — not in a superficial way, but in how we carry ourselves. When you take the time to get ready with care, you send a message: I respect myself. I take my role seriously.

Your presence sets the tone for those around you. You don’t need a brand new wardrobe or a full face of makeup (definitely not my everyday vibe either). But it’s the little things that make a big difference:
→ Brushing your hair.
→ Wearing something that makes you feel elevated.
→ Choosing an outfit that reflects who you are and how you want to be seen.

When you show up with that kind of intention, you radiate confidence — the kind that’s grounded, not performative.

Own your style.
Dressing well doesn’t mean dressing like everyone else. Your style is a reflection of your identity. It’s a way to take up space, express yourself, and communicate your worth without saying a word.

When you dress in a way that feels true to you — clean, confident, and effortless — you don’t just look the part. You own it.
