PRIORITIZE YOUR HEALTH AT WORK

Let’s talk about something I’m super passionate about — prioritizing your health, especially at work. We’re constantly juggling deadlines, back-to-back meetings, and never-ending to-do lists. It’s easy to put yourself last. But here’s the truth: health is wealth. If we’re not taking care of ourselves, how can we expect to show up fully — at work, in relationships, or for ourselves?Whether you’re working from home, at the office, or on the go, your well-being should always come first.

There’s been some trial and error along the way, but I’ve found a few simple habits that help me stay aligned with my health goals — even on the busiest days. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about consistency, intention, and doing the small things that make a big impact.

Here are a few things that have worked for me:

1. Stay Hydrated
Water is non-negotiable. I aim for at least 3L a day — more if I’m working out or running around. Having a water bottle with me at all times helps. Hydration is truly the foundation for sustained energy and mental clarity.

2. Pack Your Lunch
It’s tempting to grab something quick between meetings, but taking the time to prep your meals is a form of self-respect. It saves money and gives you full control over the ingredients you’re fueling your body with.

3. Move Your Body
Whether it’s an early morning workout, post-work Pilates, or a walk during lunch — just move. Especially if you’re sitting all day. I like tracking my steps on my phone and aim for 10k daily. It keeps me accountable and makes it fun.

4. Take Breaks
Set a timer to step away every 30–60 minutes. Close your eyes, stretch, or take a few deep breaths. Those little pauses help reset your nervous system and support better focus throughout the day.

5. Manage Stress
This one’s huge. When things feel overwhelming, I always come back to my breath. Just a few minutes of nasal breathing can shift your whole mood. I also love using peppermint essential oil or a short meditation to reset my energy.

6. Get Good Sleep
Sleep is everything. I didn’t fully get this until I hit my 30s. Now, I prioritize 8–9 hours every night — it impacts everything from my skin to my productivity. Consistent sleep is one of the best ways to support your health long term.

7. Find an Accountability Buddy
Whether it’s a coworker, friend, or partner — having someone to check in with makes healthy habits so much easier. A little support goes a long way when you're building consistency.

At the end of the day, prioritizing your well-being isn’t selfish — it’s essential. When you take care of yourself, you show up stronger, more focused, and more grounded — not just at work, but in every part of your life. So find the rituals that work for you: prep your favorite nourishing meals, get outside more, move your body in a way you love, and get that deep, restorative sleep. Your future self will thank you.
